Avec Amour is pleased to introduce Tisja Damen, a delicately sexy lingerie label from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Fashion designer Damen, who holds a bachelor degree in fashion design from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, brings a freshly feminine and sensual aesthetic to her designs that will seduce and enchant all at once.

“I have the urge to bewilder people again, to astonish them in a way only art seems to be able to do to some nowadays,” she says.

Inspired by elements of nature and the romantic appeal of storytelling and poetic stories, all her pieces are ethically created by hand at her atelier in Amsterdam using couture lace from the finest sources. Think French chantilly lace, Italian leavers lace and Swiss embroidery of sheer tulle. She also designs storytelling prints to create a meaningful story behind each collection to convey the concept behind her designs.

Damen is also strongly committed to her responsibility to create ethically and sustainably and takes care to save even the smallest pieces of remaining material in a sample book that she uses as a source of inspiration. Some of her pieces even feature a patchwork element, where she combines the materials in different ways to minimise waste and to create a design that is unique and one-of-a-kind.
